This is where The Rich Kids of Dubai Shop…
For the Rich Kids of Dubai, shopping is almost a traditional pastime. These are the people who can walk into any designer boutique, point at whatever they want and sign the bill without even looking at it. And there’s no better place in the world to shop than Dubai – a shopaholic’s paradise.
So where do you go to shop when money’s no object?
The Dubai Mall
The Dubai Mall is the biggest shopping mall in the world. What better place to shop in for a Rich Kid of Dubai? After parking their expensive supercars and Rolls Royces in the valet, the Rich Kids of Dubai enjoy Dubai Mall’s 5.9 million square feet – home to a whole host of ultra-expensive luxury designer stores such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Ralph Lauren, Valentino and Gucci. And when the Rich Kids of Dubai get tired, they can simply head over to the Burj Khalifa next door, and have lunch in Atmosphere, the world’s highest restaurant.
The Mall of the Emirates
Being the world’s most visited mall, Dubai Mall isn’t always the shopping destination of choice for Dubai’s rich kids. No, when they want somewhere a little less busy but just as – if not even more – luxurious, they head over to the Mall of the Emirates. Dripping in gold, the Mall of the Emirates is home to 630 high-end luxury brands. Expect to find the Rich Kids of Dubai hanging out in the mall’s Fashion Dome or Luxury Wing, picking up watches with six-figure price tags at Audemars Piguet, Bvlgari and Cartier, or handbags so expensive most people wouldn’t even get the chance to touch in Hermés and Chanel.
And, in the very unlikely event a Rich Kid gets bored of shopping, there’s always the indoor ski-slope, Ski Dubai, to keep them entertained. Or they could book a winter suite in the Kempinski hotel next door and pretend they’re spending the afternoon in Courchevel as they admire the view of the snow.
Shoe District
It’s only fitting that the world’s biggest shoe store would be in the world’s biggest mall, with the world’s richest kids as customers, right? For the Rich Kids of Dubai, Shoe District is the best place to shop in the UAE when they’re after a new pair of Louboutin platforms or Gucci sneakers. Shoe District promises the finest high-end shoe shopping experience money can buy, and with 250 brands on offer it’s likely that any Rich Kid of Dubai would walk away with at least several pairs.
The Rich Kids of Dubai spend their time at the luxury end of Shoe District, perusing the latest offerings by the likes of Fendi, Chanel, Miu Miu, Fendi, Stuart Weitzman, Dior and Louis Vuitton.
And when they’re done? They head to Vogue Café of course – the most luxurious place to get coffee in the Middle East.
Emirates Towers
The Emirates Towers buildings are somewhat of a landmark in Dubai, with one housing a five-star hotel and the other home to a variety of office buildings. When the Rich Kids of Dubai are done running their businesses or trading in their office, they head over to the 13,000 square metre Boulevard, which connects both towers, with their friends, where they can spend their abundant cash in stores such as Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin and Michael Kors, to name a few.
Private Home Shopping
But when you’re a Rich Kid of Dubai you don’t need to go out, because you can get exclusive access to some of the world’s most expensive designer brands right at home. Jewellers and luxury brands know that some of their biggest customers are the Dubai super-rich, and if they want to shop from the privacy of their own gated mansion or ultra-luxe apartment, then it’s as easy as a phone call away.
